Women's Swim Team Competes At M.I.T.

2/5/05 - The <?xml:namespace prefix = "st1" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Middlebury College women's swimming and diving teams competed at M.I.T. over the weekend, with several good performances being turned it. No team scores were kept for the meet.<?xml:namespace prefix = "o" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

First-year swimmer Marika Ross (Shorewood, Wis.) paced the women's team as she won the 200 free (1:56.36) and the 500 free (5:08.41). Classmate Sara Cowie (N. Palm Beach, Fla.) was a winner in the 200 fly in 2:13.49, while sophomore Anna Blasiak (Potomac, Md.) won the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:33.86. Continuing her dominance in diving was senior Tessa Truex (Wethersfield, Conn.), who won the 3-meter competition with 275.20 points.
