Swim Teams Split At Union

The Middlebury College swimming and diving teams competed on the road at Union Saturday afternoon. The women cruised to a 221-74 victory, while the men were edged by a score of 154-146. Jamie Hillas earned three wins on the afternoon for the women, taking home the 50 breaststroke (30.73), 100 back (1:02.24) and the 100 IM (1:01.60).
Courtney Haron earned wins in the 100 fly (1:01.15) and 100 free (55.25), while Lydia Carpenter touched first in the 50 free (25.34) and 100 breaststroke (1:11.11). Colleen Harper won both diving events for the Panthers, earning 264.52 points in 1M and 264 points in 3M. Also earning wins at the meet were Megan Griffin (50 fly-27.44) and Madeline Pierce (50 back-29.45).
The men’s team was paced by Ethan Litman, who won both the 50 free (22.63) and 100 free (48.71) races on the day. Andrew Rosenthal took home the 1,000 free (10:07.34), Stephan Koenigsberger touched first in the 100 breaststroke (1:01.70), while Dylan Peters took the one-meter diving competition with 263.02 points.
