Swim Teams Host Tufts and Conn. To Open The Season

The Panther swimming and diving teams opened up their '13-'14 seasons with a meet at home against Tufts and Connecticut College. The Middlebury women were edged by Conn. 148-140, while topping Tufts, 190-108. The men were defeated 189-99 by Conn. and 216-84 by the Jumbos.

Stephan Koenigsberger paced the Panther men with a win in the 100 breaststroke, finishing with a time of 1:00.20. Jamie Hillas led the women with a pair of wins. She took home the 100 breaststroke in 1:06.42, while capturing the 200 IM with a time of 2:13.32. Andrea Tibbetts was a victor in the 100 back in 100.65, while Jennifer Koide was a winner in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:28.14. Colleen Harper also picked up a win for Middlebury, taking home the 1M diving crown.
