
Middlebury College track athlete Jack Davis (Grosse Pointe, Mich.) has been named the NESCAC Men’s Track & Field Performer of the Week. Davies won the steeplechase at Point Loma Nazarene, finishing nearly six seconds ahead of the competition in 9:05.75.
The Panther track and field teams competed for the second time in California over spring break. Middlebury took part in the Ross and Sharon Irwin collegiate scoring meet at Pt. Loma with some impressive results.
The Middlebury track and field teams opened up their spring seasons at the Ross & Sharon Irwin Meet hosted by Pointe Loma Nazarane University in California. The Panthers return to action next Saturday at the same school in an invitational meet.
Middlebury's Addie Tousley earned her second All-American award on Saturday at the NCAA Indoor Championships. The senior raced to a third place finish in the 5,000 meter event, recording a time of 17:02.11.
The Middlebury women’s indoor DMR team was unable to earn the three-peat as the Panthers finished second at the 2013 NCAA Championships hosted by North Central College in Naperville, Ill. The team of Addie Tousley, Sarah O’Brien, Juliet Ryan-Davis and Alexandra Morris fell behind early but battled back to earn a second place finish in 11:34.51. All four of the athletes earned All-American honors.
