Wong Earns NESCAC Honors

11/10/05 - <?xml:namespace prefix = "st1" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Middlebury College volleyball player Jamie Wong (San Francisco, Calif.) has been named to the All-NESCAC second-team. The senior ends her career at Middlebury with more kills (2,074) than any other player in school history.<?xml:namespace prefix = "o" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Wong had another solid season on the Middlebury defense, leading the team with 500 digs in '05. She averaged 5.01 digs/game, ranking her fourth in the NESCAC, while playing in 101 games. Wong had a season-high 38 digs in Middlebury's 3-2 win at Plymouth State on October 19th.
Her 2,074 career digs are almost double (1,244) that amassed by any other player in school history. She is also fourth all-time with 414 games played in her four seasons.
