Handel Named NESCAC Player Of The Week For The Third Time

Middlebury College women's volleyball player Jane Handel (Evanston, Ill.) has been named the NESCAC Player of the Week for the third time this season. The junior led the Panthers to a pair of victories and their highest finish ever in the NESCAC standings as she averaged 3.29 kills and 5.14 digs per set while hitting at a .358 clip. She also contributed five aces and three blocks. During Saturday's 3-1 win over Williams, Handel had 12 kills and a team-high 24 digs. The night before against Hamilton, Handel recorded 11 kills, 12 digs, and four aces.

Handel and the Panthers will challenge for the NESCAC title this weekend when they visit Amherst for the three-day tournament.
