Volleyball Earns NESCAC Win Over Williams

The Middlebury women’s volleyball team fought off a tough Williams squad, picking up a 3-1 (25-22, 20-25, 25-22, 25-20) win over the Ephs in Pepin Gym. The Panthers (8-3, 2-1) return to action on Friday night when they host Colby, while the Ephs (8-4, 2-1) will entertain Bates on the same evening.

Megan Jarchow led Middlebury with 15 kills on the night, while Amy Hart added eight, Olivia Kolodka earned seven and Piper Underbrink chipped in with six. Defensively, Julia Gibbs and Caitlin Barrett each had 21 digs, while Hart added 11. Gibbs finished the match with 29 assists, Kathryn Haderlein had 10, while Underbrink had three total blocks.

Claire Miller led Williams with nine kills, while Emily Barratta and Emily Doll added seven apiece. Emily O’Day finished with 20 digs, while Ryan Farley had 15 and 32 assists.
