Women's Golf Finishes NCAA's In Eighth - Gallagher & A. Ortega Honored

The Middlebury College women's golf team made its first appearance in the NCAA Championships after an impressive season. The Panthers finished the 20-team tourney in eighth place with a four-day total of 1,370. Methodist won the tournament with a 1,215, with Williams placing 10th and Amherst coming in 13th.

Women's Golf Ends Regular Season

The Middlebury women’s golf team wrapped up its regular season with a second place finish at the Coed Invitational Tournament, hosted by Williams. The hosts shot a 666 in the two day event, followed by Middlebury (668) and Mt. Holyoke (693). Based on their ranking, the Panthers are expected to earn their first-ever bid to the NCAA Championships when the selections are announced early this week.

Women's Golf With Impressive Finish

The Panther women’s golf team earned an impressive second place finish at the Jack Leaman Women’s Golf Tournament hosted by Amherst. Boston College won the event with a two-day total of 633, followed by Middlebury (676), Williams (680) and Hartford (694).

Middlebury opened up its spring season with a third place finish at the Vassar College Invitational at the Spackenkill Country Club Saturday afternoon.

Middlebury Wins At Wellesley, Ends Fall Season

The Panther women’s golf team ended its fall season with a win at the Wellesley Fall Invitational. Middlebury shot a two-day total of 651, including a 320 on day two of the eight-team tournament. Senior Allison Ortega (Clinton, N.Y.) captured tournament medalist honors, shooting an 82 and a 77 for a two-day total of 159.

Middlebury Competes At Williams

The Middlebury College women’s golf team competed at Williams over the weekend in the Columbus Day Tournament, which doubled as the NESCAC Tournamen. The Panthers placed second in the four-team NESCAC tourney as well as second in the 11-team Columbus Day Tournament, with Williams winning both events.

Women's Golf Cruises At Mt. Holyoke

The Panther women's golf team continued its winning ways as they earned a win at the Mt. Holyoke Invitational. Middlebury won the 15-team match with a total of 655, 18 strokes ahead of second place Williams. Division I schools from Hartford, Central Connecticut, Fairfield and Hofstra were also competing in the event.

Women's Golf Wins Own Tourney

The Middlebury College women's golf team rolled to another win as they shot a two-day total of 654 to win the Middlebury Invitational. Their nearest opponent, Williams, was 25 strokes back with a 679. Day one of the tournament was played at the Ralph Myhre Golf Course on the campus of Middlebury College, while the final round was played at Neshobe in near-by Brandon, Vt.

Women's Golf Dominates At St. Lawrence

The Panther women’s golf team started the season strong as they absolutely dominated at the St. Lawrence Invitational. Middlebury finished the two-day tourney with a 628, 47 strokes ahead of its nearest opponent in the nine-team tournament.
