Women's Golf Improves Its Score At NCAA's

Middlebury continued to improve its score each day at the NCAA Women's Golf Championships in Waverly, Iowa. The Panthers are now in 14th place after three days of competition with a 986, while Methodist continues to lead with a 915.

Women's Golf Headed To NCAA's - Follow Live Scoring!

The Middlebury women's golf team will make its second consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance. The Panthers earned an at-large bid and will compete from May 13-16 at the Centennial Oaks Golf Club in Waverly, Iowa. A year ago, Middlebury finished eighth among 20 teams in their inaugural appearance.

Women's Golf Wins At Williams

The Middlebury College women’s golf team wrapped up its regular season with an impressive win at the Williams Spring Invitational. The Panthers won the two-day, nine-team event with a total of 671, followed by Williams (679) and Amherst (689). Middlebury will hope for an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament when selections are announced on Monday.

The Panther women’s golf team finished tied for third among 10 teams competing at the Jack Leaman Women’s Golf Tournament hosted by Amherst. Boston University won the event with a 690, while Middlebury came in with a 701.

The Panther women’s golf team opened up the spring season with a third place finish at the 10-team, two-day, Vassar Invitational. Middlebury came in with a two-day total of 695, trailing Williams (685) and St. Mary’s (691).

Beaney Among Elite

Middlebury College men’s hockey and golf coach Bill Beaney has been listed among the 100 Most Influential Sports Educators by the Institute for International Sport. Other notables joining the school’s 21-year veteran on the list were UCLA legend John Wooden, Duke men’s basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski, Penn State football coach Joe Paterno and Tennessee women’s basketball coach Pat Summitt.

The Middlebury College women’s golf team ended its fall season at the two-day Wellesley Golf Invitational. The Panthers placed fifth (712) in the nine-team event, with the host school capturing the match with a 667.

The Middlebury College women’s golf team was back in action this week at the Williams Fall Classic. Wellesley won the event with a two-day total of 659, while Middlebury placed seventh overall in the 10-team event with a 690.

Women's Golf In Action At Mt. Holyoke

The Panther women’s golf team finished 12th in the 15-team Mt. Holyoke Invitational over the weekend. First-year player Courtney Mazzei (Larkin Valley, Calif.) paced the team with an eighth place finish, firing a 163. Next for the Panthers was senior Karen Levin (Morton Grove, Ill.) with a 175, followed by first-year player Jessica Bluestein (Tucson, Ariz.), who shot a 179. First-year golfer Elizabeth Hirsch (New City, N.Y.) shot a 191, while senior Alison Graddock (Stowe, Vt.) came in with a 265.

Women's Golf Hosts Invitational

Williams shot a two-day total of 684 to capture the Middlebury Invitational women's golf tournament. The tourney took place at the Neshobe Country Club in Brandon, Vt. St. Lawrence placed second with a 715, while Middlebury finished third with a 730.

Women's Golf Sends Two To St. Lawrence

The Panther women’s golf team sent a pair of golfers to compete at St. Lawrence over the weekend. Senior Karen Levin (Morton Grove, Ill.) finished the two-day tourney in a tie for 13th place with a 170. Senior Allison Graddock (Stowe, Vt.) was Middlebury’s other competitor, placing 54th with a 248.
