Three Women's Lacrosse Players Earn All-American Honors

Three members of the Middlebury College women’s lacrosse team earned All-American honors when the USILA released its All-American squad. Seniors Kim Walker (Ridgewood, N.J.) and Claire Edelen (Sparks, Md.), along with junior Amanda Smith (Greenwich, Conn.) all earned spots on the squad. Middlebury recently completed another impressive season, advancing to the NCAA semifinals and winning the NESCAC Championship with a record of 16-2.

Women's Lacrosse All-Region Team Announced

Six members of the Middlebury College women’s lacrosse team were honored when the IWLCA released its 2007 All-Region teams. The five first-teamers are now eligible for All-American honors when the team is selected early next week. Middlebury recently completed another impressive season, advancing to the NCAA semifinals and winning the NESCAC Championship with a record of 16-2.

Women's Lacrosse Drops NCAA Semi To Salisbury

Middlebury saw its season come to an end with a hard-fought 8-7 loss to Salisbury in an NCAA semifinal contest played at William Smith College. The Panthers were making their 14th consecutive trip to the semifinals and end their season at 16-2.

Robyn Bishop scored with 33 seconds remaining to lift Salisbury to the 8-7 victory over Middlebury.

Women's Lacrosse Looks For Sixth NCAA Title - Watch Games

The Middlebury College women’s lacrosse team will make its 14th consecutive trip to the NCAA semifinals after an 11-10 win over The College of New Jersey in an NCAA quarterfinal match-up on Kohn Field. The Panthers will meet Salisbury on Saturday, May 19th at 2:30 p.m. at William Smith (Geneva, N.Y.). Gettysburg will take on Franklin & Marshall in the other semifinal at 11:30 a.m. The title game is slated for Sunday, May 20th at noon and will be televised live on CSTV. Women's Lax Headed To NCAA Semi's

Middlebury has advanced to the NCAA semifinals for the 14th consecutive year after an 11-10 win over The College of New Jersey on Kohn Field. The win snaps the Lions streak of 23 consecutive trips to the semifinals, each year the tournament has existed. TCNJ ends its season with a 12-3 record, while the Panthers will meet Salisbury in the semifinals next Saturday at William Smith. Gettysburg will meet Franklin & Marshall in the other semifinal contest.

Women's Lacrosse Advances To NCAA Quarters

Middlebury moved in the NCAA Regional final as they had little trouble with Drew, defeating the Rangers by a score of 19-2 on Kohn Field. The Panthers will take on The College of New Jersey, an 8-7 4OT winner over Cortland, in the regional final on Sunday at 1:00. Drew ends its season at 16-4.

The Middlebury College women’s lacrosse team will make its 14th consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance when they host one of four, four-team Regionals this weekend on Kohn Field. Women's Lax Players Honored - Walker Is Player Of The Year, Heritage Is Rookie Of The Year

Five members of the Middlebury College women’s lacrosse were honored when the NESCAC announced its all-conference teams. Senior Kim Walker (Ridgewood, N.J.) was named the league’s Player of the Year, while rookie Dana Heritage (Cheshire, Conn.) earned rookie of the year honors. Joining Walker on the first-team was senior Kate Perry (Cambridge, Mass.), while Heritage and seniors Claire Edelen (Sparks, Md.) and Liza Humes (Greenwood Village, Colo.) both earned second-team honors.

Walker Earns Player Of The Week Honors

Middlebury College women’s lacrosse player Kim Walker (Ridgewood, N.J.) has been named the NESCAC Player of the Week. The senior had an impressive weekend for the Panthers, leading her squad to its seventh consecutive NESCAC Women’s Lacrosse Championship on Sunday. After scoring twice in the semifinals against Williams during a 15-5 win on Saturday, Walker tallied six goals, tying a tournament record, and added in an assist during a 10-8 victory over Colby in the championship game on Sunday. Walker also picked up six ground balls and six draw controls over the weekend, while causing five turnovers.

Women's Lax Wins Seventh NESCAC Title

Middlebury won its seventh consecutive NESCAC Championship with a 10-8 win over Colby. The Panthers earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament and are expected to host an NCAA Regional next weekend on Kohn Field. The selections will be announced Sunday night at 9:00 p.m. live on CSTV.

Women's Lacrosse Advances To NESCAC Final

Middlebury advanced to the NESCAC title game for the seventh consecutive year after a 15-5 win over Williams. The Panthers will take Colby, a 10-8 winner over Amherst, on Sunday at noon for the NESCAC Championship. Middlebury moves to 13-0 all-time in NESCAC Tournament play, while Williams ends its season at 6-8.

Women's Lax Completes Unfefeated NESCAC Season

Middlebury completed its eighth consecutive undefeated NESCAC regular season with a 15-7 win over Tufts on Kohn Field. The Panthers have also won 39 straight home games and will host the NESCAC semifinals and finals on May 5th and 6th at Kohn Field. Tufts ends its season at 7-5.

Kim Walker scored four goals as Middlebury held on for a 10-9 non-league women’s lacrosse victory over host Union College at Frank Bailey Field Tuesday afternoon.

Middlebury extended its winning streak to nine games with a 16-2 victory at Connecticut College on Sunday afternoon. Amanda Smith tallied three goals and two assists to lead the Panthers.

Late Goal Lifts Women's Lacrosse Over Wesleyan

Mimi Schatz scored her second goal of the game with 4:02 remaining off a perfect feed by Amanda Smith to break a 9-9 tie that would hold up as Middlebury pulled out a 10-9 win at Wesleyan.

Middlebury won its 14th straight meeting with Bates as they handed the Bobcats an 18-5 loss on Kohn Field. The Panthers entered the game ranked third nationally and will play at Wesleyan on Saturday.

Humes Earns Player of the Week Honors

Middlebury College women’s lacrosse player Liza Humes (Greenwood Village, Colo.) has been named the NESCAC Player of the Week. The senior scored five goals and assisted on six others for 11 points in a 2-0 week for the second-ranked Panthers. Humes scored four goals with two assists while picking up a pair of ground balls in a mid-week win over Skidmore. She closed the week with a goal and four assists along with a pair of draw controls during Saturday’s win over Trinity.

Women's Lacrosse Holds Off Trinity

It was a tale of two halves as Middlebury led 13-2 at the intermission and held on for a 15-13 win over Trinity. The Panthers entered the game ranked second in the latest national poll, while the Bantams were in the seventh spot. The game marked the return of Middlebury native and former Panther field hockey and lacrosse player Kate Perine, who is now the head coach at Trinity.

Women's Lacrosse Rolls Past Skidmore

Second-ranked Middlebury scored four goals in the game's first five minutes on its way to a 17-6 win over Skidmore on Thursday afternoon at Wachenheim Field.

Heritage Is Named Player of the Week

Middlebury College women’s lacrosse player Dana Heritage (Cheshire, Conn.) has been named the NESCAC Player of the Week. Heritage helped the Panthers move past a pair of NESCAC foes last week that were previously undefeated in conference play. Heritage began the week with a goal and an assist in a win over Williams on Wednesday, followed by a four-goal, one-assist performance in a victory against Amherst on Saturday. She also gathered six ground balls and two draw controls during Saturday’s decision.

Women's Lax Dominates Amherst

In a game that pitted two nationally ranked teams, visiting Middlebury beat Amherst College 11-3 on Saturday. The win marks the second straight year in which the Panthers have defeated Amherst by an 11-3 margin. Middlebury will travel to Skidmore for a Thursday afternoon game.

Middlebury won its 10th straight meeting with Williams as the #4 Panthers picked up a 15-12 win over the #8 Ephs on Kohn Field. Middlebury moves to 4-1 and 3-0 in NESCAC play, while Williams falls to 4-2 and 3-1 in league play.

Middlebury won its home-opener on Kohn Field as they earned a 19-8 NESCAC victory over Colby. The Panthers scored nine of the game’s first 10 goals, cruising to the victory.

Women's Lax Tops Gettysburg In OT

Middlebury bounced back after a loss at Salisbury with an exciting 11-10 overtime victory over top-ranked Gettysburg. The loss is the first of the season for the Bullets, while fourth-ranked Middlebury moves to 2-1. Amanda Smith scored seven points on four goals and three assists to lift the Panthers to the win. The loss is the first for the Bullets is just their third in the last 37 games.

The Panther women's lacrosse team suffered its first loss of the season as Middlebury fell 11-10 at Salisbury in a match-up of two top 10 teams (No. 6 Salisbury and No. 7 Middlebury).

The Middlebury women’s lacrosse team was finally able to open its season as they scored six straight goals to open the second half in a 11-5 victory over Bowdoin.
