Middlebury College women’s volleyball player Lexie Fisher (San Francisco, Calif.) has been named to the All-NESCAC second-team. Fisher led the team to another appearance in the NESCAC Tournament this season, as the Panthers finished 13-16.

Volleyball Headed To Williams For NESCAC Tourney - Watch Live

Williams College finished off NESCAC action on Saturday afternoon with a 3-0 victory over Tufts to cap a perfect 10-0 season as the Ephs will head into the 2006 NESCAC Volleyball Championship with the number-one seed and the right to host this year’s tournament. The three-day championship kicks off on Friday, Nov. 3, in Williamstown, Mass., with quarterfinal action beginning at 6:00 p.m. The 2006 NESCAC Volleyball Championship will conclude with the final on Sunday, Nov. 5.

Panthers Top Panthers

Middlebury moved to 11-9 overall and 2-1 at home as they picked up a 3-1 win over Plymouth State. The Panthers received contributions from several players, including Lexi Fisher, who had 19 kills and 17 digs on the night. Josie Keller added eight kills, while Lacee Patterson and Kelly Nichols had six apiece. Olivia Minkhorst had 25 digs in the win, while Patterson dished out 47 assists.

Middlebury lost a lengthy match at Skidmore as they fell 3-2. The Panthers were led by Lexi Fisher with 21 kills and eight blocks, while Kate Heath added 21 kills as well. Olivia Minkhorst had 24 digs in the loss, while Lacee Patterson earned 54 assists.

The Middlebury women's volleyball team won its home-opener in the Pepin Gym as they earned a 3-0 win over Union. Josie Keller, Lexie Fisher and Kate Heath each had 10 kills in the match to lead the offensive barrage. Olivia Minkhorst had 19 digs in the match, while Lacee Patterson had 11 digs and 43 assists.
