Fisher Named To All-NESCAC Squad

Middlebury College women’s volleyball player Lexi Fisher (San Francisco, Calif.) has earned first-team All-NESCAC honors, after having a spot on the second-team a year ago. The senior recently completed an impressive four-year career, as the Panthers went 15-14, earning a spot in the NESCAC Tournament.

Women's Volleyball Ends Season

The Middlebury women's volleyball team saw its season come to an end with a 3-0 loss to Williams in the NESCAC quarterfinals at Amherst. The Ephs won the match by scores of 30-24, 30-20 and 30-21.

Women's Volleyball Looks For NESCAC Crown

Middlebury will make a run at the NESCAC Volleyball title this weekend as Amherst hosts the NESCAC Volleyball Championship. The three-day, eight-team event begins on Friday, Nov. 2 in Amherst, Mass. with quarterfinal action beginning at 6:00 p.m. The 2007 NESCAC Volleyball Championship continues with the semifinals on Saturday, Nov. 3 and concludes with the championship match on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.

The Panther women’s volleyball team had a rough week as they dropped four NESCAC matches on the road. Based on their success earlier in the season, Middlebury finished NESCAC play with a 5-5 record and have earned the seventh seed in the upcoming NESCAC Tournament at Williams.

The women's volleyball team lost a tough road NESCAC match on Wednesday night, falling to Williams 3-1. The Panthers won the first set, before dropping a tight 33-31 second set. The Ephs were then 30-26 and 30-19 winners to wrap up the contest.

The Middlebury College women’s volleyball team took part in the Hall of Fame Classic hosted by Smith and Mt. Holyoke over the weekend, after a mid-week road match.

Volleyball Falls To Plymouth

Middlebury saw its five-game winning streak come to an end as they fell in a tight match 3-0 at Plymouth State. The Panthers dropped the first two sets 30-28, before falling 30-22 in the final set. Lexi Fisher had 13 kills in the match, while Lindsay Patterson had nine. Natalie DuPre had a team-high 21 digs, while Reisa Bloch earned 19.

The Middlebury College women’s volleyball team had a big week as they hosted a NESCAC weekend in Pepin Gym. The Panthers won all three matches and are now 5-1 in NESCAC play this season.

The women's volleyball team will host a NESCAC weekend this Friday and Saturday, October 12th and 13th in Pepin Gym. Six teams will be competing in the event with matches taking place both Friday night and all day Saturday.

Women's Volleyball Wins Two

The Panther women’s volleyball team picked up a pair of wins, including a 3-1 NESCAC win at Tufts on Sunday. In that match, senior Lexie Fisher (San Francisco, Calif.) had 15 kills, 16 digs and five blocks to lead the Panthers. Juniors Lindsay Patterson (Aspen, Colo.) and Josie Keller (York, Pa.) along with first-year player Whitney Bean (Waukee, Iowa) each added 10 kills in the balanced offensive attack.

The Panther women's volleyball team dropped a four-set match to 13-5 Skidmore on Wednesday night in Pepin Gym. Middlebury won the first set and then dropped three straight, two of them tightly contested.

Middlebury picked up a 3-0 win over Norwich on Thursday night in Pepin Gym. Lindsay Patterson had seven kills and 11 digs in the match, while Kate Heath earned nine kills. Lexie Fisher led all Panthers with a dozen kills, Natalie DuPre had four service aces, while Lauren Barrett dished out 23 assists.

Volleyball Wins Three Of Four To Start Season

The Middlebury College women’s volleyball team opened its season with three wins in four matches at the Potsdam Invitational over the weekend. Senior Lindsay Patterson (Aspen, Colo.) was named to the All-Tournament team.
