Comeback Falls Short As Plattsburgh Tops Middlebury

2/8/05 - Plattsburgh hit a free throw with no time on the clock to give the Cardinals a 59-58 win over Middlebury in New York. The Cardinals opened the game with a 12-0 run, and took a 10-point lead into the halftime break. Leading 55-39 with 9:51 left to play, Plattsburgh watched Middlebury go on an 18-2 run to tie the game at 57 with 3:33 left to play. The game ended as Plattsburgh missed several shots before being fouled at the buzzer, to set up the game-winning free throw.

Elyse Carlson led Middlebury with 25 points and six steals, while Micaela McVary added eight points and seven rebounds.
