Women's Basketball Moves To 3-3 In NESCAC Play

2/4/05 - Middlebury held Trinity to .282 shooting from the floor as the Panthers improved to 3-3 in NESCAC play with a 60-49 win over the Bantams in Pepin Gym. Middlebury jumped out to an 11-3 lead and took a 37-24 lead into the halftime break, led by 12 points on five of six shooting from Katie Fisher. The lead increased to 18 in the second half before a 10-0 run by Trinity cut the lead to 47-39 with 7:45 left in the game. That would be as close as the Bantams would come as Middlebury went on to earn the win.
Two Panthers had double-doubles on the night, while Micaela McVary was one point away with nine points and 10 rebounds. Elyse Carlson led the team with 18 points and 10 boards, Alanna Young scored 13 and grabbed 10 rebounds, while Fisher ended the game with a dozen points and seven caroms.
