Describe your initial reaction upon seeing the campus and athletic facilities for the first time.

When I came to Middlebury my senior fall I got completely lost trying to find Coach Pecsok’s office; I remember thinking it was so huge and confusing. But, when we went into the weight room, and I could see the mountains out the windows overlooking the turf I knew it was a place I wouldn’t mind spending so much time in!

What is the one thing that makes Middlebury College a special place for you?

Middlebury is special because everyone is so accessible and wants to get to know you and help you succeed. Professors enjoy watching sports games, coaches want to know how life outside sports is. It is a place where you can make connections with so many interesting and talented people.

What is your best memory as a player at Middlebury College?

My best memory as a college player came in the fall of 2005 when our team took a pre-season trip to St. Louis. It was really fun to travel as a team outside of New England and see an area of the country I’d never been.

What have you learned from your sport that you will use in your everyday life?

Playing a team sport has helped me to learn how to balance the need for individual success with group success. Whether it is within my family or at a job, I have learned to value how important it is for me to understand what role I can play that leads to the most success as a group, while still being a productive and happy individual.
