Borsinger Earns First-Team All-NESCAC Honors

Middlebury College women’s basketball player Tracy Borsinger (Chatham, N.J.) has earned first-team All-NESCAC honors. The Panther senior leads the league in points scored this season with 395 and earlier this year was named a District I First-Team Academic All-American by CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America). She helped lead the team to a 14-12 mark with its first trip to the NESCAC semifinals since ’02.

Borsinger was among the NESCAC leaders in several categories this season. She was second in the league in scoring with 15.2 points/game, while ranking first with 143 field goals and second with an .833 free throw percentage. The senior was fourth in the league with 1.9 three-point field goals/game while ranking fifth with 821 minutes. She earned 4.9 rebounds/game this season to go along with 22 blocks and 22 steals.

Borsinger went off for 29 points, including five threes in a January 4th NESCAC road win at Bates this season. She earned 20 or more points seven times in ’12-’13, including 25 in a win at Castleton on November 27th. During a two-game stretch in January, Borsinger connected on 11 of 21 three-point attempts in a pair of wins. She ends her career at Middlebury with 786 points, 282 rebounds, 82 assists, 49 blocks and 58 steals in 81 games.
