Director of Physical Education
Pecsok continues to serve as the Director of Physical Education at Middlebury. She is also involved with student wellness as well as the department's commitment to community service.
Pecsok completed her final season as head women's basketball coach in '13-14. She led the team to 12 post-season appearances in her 16 seasons, finishing with a career record of 204-189. Her best campaign came in 2001-2002, when her team advanced to the NESCAC Championship game and finished with an overall record of 22-5.
Pecsok came to Middlebury from Franklin & Marshall in Pennsylvania where she compiled a 76-67 record over six seasons. In the 24-year history of women's basketball at F&M, Pecsok ranks second in career coaching victories and third in career winning percentage. In her first season at F&M, the Diplomats posted a 19-5 record, capturing the Middle Atlantic Conference Southwest League Championship.
Pecsok attended Virginia Tech, where she earned her bachelor's degree in English, history and sociology in 1986. During her playing career for the Lady Hokies, Pecsok played in 104 of 112 games, while serving as the team captain her senior season.
Following graduation, Pecsok coached at Virginia Tech and Dartmouth before leaving the coaching profession for two years. Pecsok returned to the sidelines in 1991 to assist long-time friend Liz McQuitter in her first year as head coach at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas.
After a successful season as an assistant coach at Lamar, Pecsok took on duties as head coach at F&M. She also served as an assistant softball coach, staff liaison for club sports, and director of the summer Camp of Champions held at F&M and Cedar Crest College.
