Middlebury Competes At Williams

The Middlebury College women's golf team competed at Williams over the weekend in the Columbus Day Tournament, which doubled as the NESCAC Tournamen. The Panthers placed second in the four-team NESCAC tourney as well as second in the 11-team Columbus Day Tournament, with Williams winning both events.

Senior Allison Ortega (Clinton, N.Y.) led Middlebury on the weekend, finishing in a second place tie with a 79 in the overall tournament. Finishing in fifth place was senior Heather Gallagher (Toronto, Ont.) with an 81, followed by sophomore Julie Ellenberger (Concord, Mass.) and senior Kerry Ortega (Clinton, N.Y.), each with an 86 in 10th place. Rounding out the squad was junior Karen Levin (Morton Grove, Ill.) in 15th with an 89.
