Women's Golf Cruises At Mt. Holyoke

The Panther women's golf team continued its winning ways as they earned a win at the Mt. Holyoke Invitational. Middlebury won the 15-team match with a total of 655, 18 strokes ahead of second place Williams. Division I schools from Hartford, Central Connecticut, Fairfield and Hofstra were also competing in the event.

Junior Karen Levin (Morton Grove, Ill.) led Middlebury as she shot a two-day total of 157, putting her in a three-way tie for first place. Levin won medalist honors in a three-way playoff.

Senior Heather Gallagher (Toronto, Ont.) finished in sixth place with a 162, followed by senior Allison Ortega (Clinton, N.Y.) in 10th with a 166. Finishing in a tie for 19th place were sophomore Julie Ellenberger (Concord, Mass.) and senior Kerry Ortega (Clinton, N.Y.), both shooting 172's.
