Weeks Tied For Ninth At NCAA's

Middlebury senior Flora Weeks sits in a tie for ninth place among 101 golfers after three days of play at the 2012 NCAA Championships. The 72 hole event is being held at the Zollner Golf Course in Angola, Indiana. Her 54-hole total of 231 is only six strokes behind the leader with one day remaining. In the team event, Methodist leads after three days with a 932, while Catherine Wagner of Wis.-Eau Claire paces the event with a 225.

Weeks started on the back nine on day three, getting off to a slow start by going +6 through the first five holes. She settled down with three pars before earning a birdie on the 18th for a 41. After opening with a pair of bogeys on the front nine, Week’s parred four straight before a birdie on the par 5 seventh hole. A pair of pars on eight and nine left her with a 37 for a 78.
