Women's Hockey Ties Williams

1/18/05 - The Middlebury women's hockey team extended its unbeaten streak to 17 games with a 1-1 tie at Williams. The Panthers are now 13-0-1 on the season and don't return to action until a visit to Plattsburgh on Wednesday, January 26th.

Williams took a 1-0 lead with an unassisted power play goal at the 5:39 mark of the second period. The game remained at 1-0 until Emily Quizon earned the equalizer 9:49 into the third period with an assist from Emily McNamara. The goal was the 100th career point for Quizon. Neither team could find the back of the net through the remainder of regulation or a five minute overtime, leaving the game in a 1-1 tie.

Middlebury out shot Williams 45-35 on the night, as Kate Kogut made 34 saves in goal.
