Women's Hockey Blanks Colby

Middlebury ran its record to 16-0 as they picked up a 3-0 road win at Colby. The Panthers return to action on Saturday afternoon at Bowdoin.
The combination of Erika Nakamura and Alison Graddock accounted for two goals in the final 1:07 of the second period to lead Middlebury to the win.
After nearly 39 minutes of scoreless hockey, Nakamura tallied with 1:07 remaining in the second period with an assist from Graddock. Just 20 seconds later, Nakamura had the assist on Graddock's goal for a 2-0 lead after two periods. Shannon Sylvester scored just 1:22 into the third period to help the Panthers pull away.
Middlebury's Kate Kogut earned the shutout with 19 stops, as the Panthers held a 50-19 shots advantage.
