Middlebury Wins At Utica

Middlebury remained unbeaten (11-0-1) its last 12 games as the women's hockey team picked up a 4-2 win at Utica in a non-conference game.

The Panthers trailed 2-1 after one period with a shorthanded goal from Lacey Farrell. Karen Levin and Abby Kurtz-Phelan scored second period goals to give Middlebury a 3-2 lead after two periods of play.

Shannon Sylvester would score the only goal of the third period to give the Panthers the 4-2 win. Angie Todd made 24 saves in goal to earn the victory as Sylvester and Levin each had a goal and an assist in the game.
