Middlebury Tops Williams, 5-1

The Panther women's hockey team bounced back after an opening day loss to Plattsburgh with a 5-1 win over Williams at the Plattsburgh Tourney. Middlebury out shot Williams 37-26 on the day, with Angie Todd making 25 saves to earn the win.

Erika Nakamura scored the lone goal of the first period to give the Panthers a 1-0 lead. Shannon Tarrant scored two second period goals, with an Eph goal sandwiched in between, for a 3-1 lead.

Shannon Sylvester made it a 4-1 game in the third, before Molly Vitt scored the game's final goal. Tarrant had two goals and an assist on the day, while Sylvester and Vitt each had a goal and an assist.
