Describe your initial reaction upon seeing the campus and athletic facilities for the first time.

The first time I saw the campus was in the middle of the fall and the foliage was beautiful. I drove up to the parking lot of the football field - which is my favorite view on campus. The colorful mountains surrounded the fields and Kenyon arena; it was amazing.

What is the one thing that makes Middlebury College a special place for you?

Middlebury College is a special place for me because of its great sense of community. I love being able to make personal connections with large variety of people at the school – my coaches, classmates, and faculty members. The sense of community allows me to truly appreciate and take advantage of the opportunities that Middlebury has to offer.

What is your best memory as a player at Middlebury College?

My best memory as a player at Middlebury College was standing for the anthem at the NCAA finals my freshmen year. We were playing against Elmira in their home rink and the energy was indescribable. My heart was racing, my legs shaking but, like so many other experiences as a Middlebury athlete, there was no other place in the world that I would have wanted to be.

What have you learned from your sport that you will use in your everyday life?

Playing on a hockey team has taught me many skills that I use in my everyday life. One of the most important things that I take away from playing on a hockey team is dedication and work ethic. Sometimes you do not get the results you want but you must continue to work hard each day with the end goal in mind.
