Women's Hockey Wins At Colby

Middlebury earned a NESCAC road win as the Panthers scored twice on the power play on its way to a 2-1 win over Colby at Alfond Rink. Middlebury held a 33-11 shots advantage in the game and will return to action at Bowdoin on Saturday.

Erika Nakamura scored at 8:34 of the first period with assists from Heather McCormack and Nora Bergman. The Panthers (6-1-2 overall, 4-1-1 league) went up 2-0 in the second period when Molly Vitt tallied with helpers from Grace Waters and Anna McNally. Colby (5-3-1, 2-2-0) cut the lead in half when Colette Finley scored after a pass from Stephanie Scarpato at 6:15 of the third period.

Lacey Brown kept Colby in the game with 31 saves, while Lani Wright stopped 10 shots for the Panthers.
