McNally & Styrbicki Earn NESCAC Honors

March 4, 2010

Middlebury College women's hockey players Anna McNally (St. Paul, Minn.) and Madison Styrbicki (Edina, Minn.) have both earned All-NESCAC honors. The duo helped lead the team to a 16-6-3 record as they prepare for this weekend's conference championship at Amherst.

McNally earns a spot on the first team after accomplishing the same feat during her rookie season. The former NESCAC rookie of the year leads the team and NESCAC in scoring this season (16-20-26) with 1.44 points/game. She is second in the league in goals (.64/game) and third in assists (.80 apg). The junior is also tied for the league-lead with seven power play goals, while ranking second with three game-winners. McNally has six multiple goal games this season, including a pair in last weekend's NESCAC Quarterfinal win over Hamilton. She dished out three assists along with two goals earlier this season in a win over Colby.

Styrbicki earns second-team honors at the blue line in her rookie season. She is fourth on the team in scoring this season with seven goals and 11 assists for 18 points on the year. Her 18 points place her fourth in the league among rookies as well as defenseman scoring. Styrbicki scored two goals in a game twice this season, while owning tallies in each of her last two contests.
