For the just the second time since the tournament’s inception in 2002 (13th year), the Middlebury women’s hockey team will not take part in the NCAA Tournament. The Panthers were hoping for an at-large berth, but were left out of the field after some of the nation’s top teams fell in their respective conference tournaments to earn the at-large bids. Middlebury ends the season with a 17-4-4 mark.

Three members of the Middlebury College women’s hockey team have earned All-NESCAC honors. First-year player Carly Watson (Montpelier, Vt.) earned a spot on the first team, while senior Jennifer Krakower (Montreal, Que.) and junior Annabelle Jones (Homer, N.Y.) were both named to the second team. The group are awaiting a potential NCAA Tournament bid when the selections are announced on Monday, March 10th.

Justina Germano scored 10:00 into overtime to give Connecticut College (10-11-3) a 2-1 upset victory over top-seeded and fourth-ranked Middlebury in a NESCAC Quarterfinal game in Kenyon Arena. The Camels advance to next weekend’s semifinal round, while the Panthers (17-4-4) will hope for an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament when the pairings are announced on March 10th.

Middlebury clinched the top seed and home ice advantage throughout the 2014 NESCAC Women’s Ice Hockey Championship a week ago after posting a win and a tie over Williams. The Panthers, who earned the No. 1 seed for the fourth-straight year, will be in pursuit of their eighth conference title when they host Connecticut College in quarterfinal action on Saturday, March 1 at 1:00 p.m.

The Middlebury men's and women's hockey teams will both host NESCAC Quarterfinal games on Saturday, March 1st. The women will take on Connecticut College at 1:00 p.m., followed by the men vs. Bowdoin at 4:00 p.m. Tickets, which gain you admission to both games ($6/$3), are on sale now at the Mahaney and McCullough box offices. Middlebury wrapped-up its regular season with a 3-2 non-league road loss at Norwich on Wednesday night in Kreitzberg Arena in a battle of two of the nation’s top teams. The Panthers are now off until (17-3-4, 12-0-4 NESCAC) March 1st, when they will host a NESCAC Quarterfinal game.

Middlebury College women’s hockey player Annabelle Jones (Homer, N.Y.) has been named the NESCAC Player of the Week for the second time this season. The junior recorded a .942 save percentage after stopping 49 of the 52 shots she faced as Middlebury clinched the top seed in the upcoming NESCAC Championship by taking three points from Williams.

Middlebury settled for a 1-1 tie on the road, taking three points from Williams (11-8-3, 8-3-3) in a home-and-home series. The second-ranked Panthers (17-2-4, 12-0-4) finished the season unbeaten in NESCAC play and will return to action on Wednesday with a non-league game at Norwich.

Middlebury clinched the top seed for the NESCAC Tournament after a 3-2 win over Williams (11-8-2, 8-3-2) in a battle of the top-two teams in the NESCAC standings. The second-ranked Panthers (17-2-3, 12-0-3) survived a late scare by the Ephs, as they remain undefeated in league play this season. The two teams will go back at it on Saturday, with part two of a home-and-home series in Williamstown.

In a showdown between the top two teams in Division III women’s hockey, the top-ranked Plattsburgh women’s hockey team emerged victorious with a 5-2 win against second-ranked Middlebury in a non-conference matchup Tuesday night at the Stafford Ice Arena.

Annabelle Jones recorded her fourth shutout this season racking up 22 saves between the pipes leading second-ranked Middlebury to a 3-0 victory over Connecticut College (8-10-3, 3-8-3) Saturday afternoon in Kenyon Arena. The Panthers (16-1-3, 11-0-3) move their unbeaten streak to 14 games (11-0-3) and remain atop the NESCAC standings.

Sara Ugalde poked home a rebound with 57 seconds left in overtime to give second-ranked Middlebury a 3-2 victory over Conn. College (8-9-3, 3-7-3) in Kenyon Arena. The Panthers (15-1-3, 10-0-3) improve their unbeaten streak to 13 games and remain unbeaten in NESCAC play. The two teams will go at it again on Saturday, with face-off set for 3:00 p.m.

Emily Fluke recorded a pair of third-period goals lifting the second-ranked Panthers to an exciting 5-4 come-from-behind victory Tuesday evening in Kenyon Arena. Utica (13-6-0) held a 35-30 edge in shots over Middlebury (14-1-3) but the hosts converted on a pair of powerplay opportunities in the win. The Panthers remain at home for a game Friday with Connecticut College at 7:00 p.m., while Utica hosts Neumann on Saturday at 4:00 p.m.

Middlebury College women’s hockey player Emily Fluke (Marshfield, Mass.) has been named the NESCAC Player of the Week. She is the second-straight Panther to be honored after Annabelle Jones earned the award last week. Fluke scored three goals for Middlebury in a pair of road wins against Hamilton.

Middlebury’s Emily Fluke scored 17 seconds into overtime to lift the second-ranked Panthers to a 3-2 NESCAC win at Hamilton in Russell Sage Rink on Saturday. Middlebury (13-1-3, 9-0-3 NESCAC) improves its unbeaten streak to 11 games and will return to action on Tuesday when they host Utica at 7:00 p.m.

Middlebury scored three power-play goals as the second-ranked Panthers recorded their fifth shutout of the season, blanking host Hamilton 3-0 in NESCAC action in Russell Sage Rink. The Panthers (12-1-3, 8-0-3 NESCAC) outshot Hamilton 27-6 over the first two periods and capitalized on three of their 10 power play opportunities.

Middlebury College women’s hockey player Annabelle Jones (Homer, N.Y.) has been named the NESCAC Co-Player of the Week. The junior allowed just one goal in 125 minutes of action versus Bowdoin this weekend to record a 0.48 goals against average and a .974 save percentage.

Middlebury scored three goals in a 1:42 span in the second period on its way to a 4-0 win over Bowdoin (8-6-1, 3-3-1) in NESCAC action on Friday night in Kenyon Arena. The second-ranked Panthers (11-1-2, 7-0-2) held a slim 19-18 shots advantage in the game, with Annabelle Jones making 18 saves en route to her seventh career shutout. The teams will face-off again on Saturday with game time set for 3:00 p.m.

Middlebury scored early in the third period on the power play and forged a 1-1 tie with Bowdoin (8-6-2, 3-3-2) in NESCAC action Saturday afternoon in Kenyon Arena. The second-ranked Panthers (11-1-3, 7-0-3) possessed a narrow 31-29 shots advantage in a game that featured up and down action throughout all 65 minutes.

For the second time in as many days, a NESCAC thriller between the top-two teams in the league happened inside Orr Rink as second-ranked Middlebury earned a 5-5 draw at 10th-ranked Amherst. The game comes on the heels of Middlebury’s thrilling 2-1 victory against the Jeffs Friday.

Emily Fluke earned a goal and two assists to lead Middlebury to a 4-1 victory at Wesleyan in NESCAC action on Saturday. The win keeps the Panthers in a tie atop the NESCAC standings with a 5-0-1 conference record, matched by Amherst. Second-ranked Middlebury owns an overall record of 9-1-1 on the season.

Wesleyan came back from a 2-0 deficit to earn a 2-2 tie with second-ranked Middlebury on Friday night in Connecticut. The Cardinals (3-5-3, 1-2-2), who have never beaten Middlebury (8-1-1, 4-0-1) in 51 all-time meetings, came away with just the fourth tie in the series that favors Middlebury, 47-0-4, and the first in seven years as the squads ended in a 1-1 tie Jan. 12, 2007.

Katie Sullivan recorded two goals, including the game-winner on the powerplay, lifting No. 2 Middlebury to an 8-2 victory versus Salve Regina Wednesday evening inside Kenyon Arena. The game marked the first meeting in the all-time series between the two schools. The Panthers will return to action Friday evening when they continue NESCAC action with a 7:00 p.m. battle at Wesleyan.

Katie Mandigo streaked down the left side and sent a laser beam into the top left corner of the Elmira goal lifting No. 2 Middlebury to an exciting 3-2 victory versus No. 4 Elmira Saturday evening inside Kenyon Arena.

Hannah Bielawski had a goal and set up two others in a four-goal third period barrage as Middlebury cruised past Castleton, 5-0, at Kenyon Arena Saturday afternoon. Madeline Marsh made 16 saves for the second-ranked Panthers (5-1) who bounced back from their lone loss of the season last Sunday to top-ranked Plattsburgh State.

The Middlebury women's hockey team will offer its annual "Skate With The Panthers" on Saturday, December 7th following their 3:00 p.m. contest vs. Castleton. Players will be available to skate with following the game, as well as sign team photos that will be provided.

Middlebury scored three goals in the final 3:24 of the game to pick up a 5-3 win over Elmira on day one of the ninth annual Panther/Cardinal Classic in Kenyon Arena. This year’s classic features the winners of 10 of the 12 NCAA Championships. Middlebury and Elmira have met in two NCAA Championship games, with the Panthers winning in ’04 and the Soaring Eagles taking home the title a year ago.

Top-ranked Plattsburgh remained unbeaten as they earned at 2-0 road win at #2 Middlebury (5-1) at the ninth annual Panther/Cardinal Classic. The Cardinals move to 9-0-1 and have surrendered just one goal this season. The Panthers return to action on Saturday when they host Castleton.

Middlebury’s Emily Fluke scored her first goal of the season 1:18 into overtime, giving the second-ranked Panthers (3-0, 3-0) a 3-2 win over Trinity (1-1-1, 1-1-1) in the team’s home-opener in Kenyon Arena. The teams will go back at it on Saturday with a 3:00 p.m. face-off.

Middlebury completed a two-game sweep of Trinity (1-2-1, 1-2-1) with a convincing 7-0 victory on Saturday afternoon in Kenyon Arena. The second-ranked Panthers (4-0, 4-0) outshot their opponent 41-14 in the game, converting a pair of power play goals.

For the third straight year after winning a one-goal game the previous night, Middlebury had it much easier the following day with a 4-0 road win over Colby in NESCAC women's hockey at Alfond Rink.

Second-ranked Middlebury opened up its season with a 2-1 NESCAC road win at Colby. The Panthers held a 42-22 shots advantage in the game, but could only get two past Colby goaltender Brianne Wheeler, who made 40 saves. The two teams will go at it again on Saturday at Alfond Rink.

The U.S. Women's Hockey Team defeated Finland 5-1 in Kenyon Arena today before a crowd of nearly 1,000. Instead of charging admission to the game, Middlebury raised over $1,800 for the United Way of Addison County. Following the contest, members of the U.S. squad took signed autographs and took photos with many of the kids who attended the game.
