Four Panthers Earn All-NESCAC Honors

5/7/04 - Four members of the <?xml:namespace prefix = "st1" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Middlebury College women's lacrosse team were named to the All-NESCAC team. Seniors Nuala O'Donohoe (Needham, Mass) and Becca Brakeley (Middlebury, Vt.) were named to the first-team along with sophomore Elizabeth Renehan (St. Davids, Pa.). Earning second-team honors was sophomore Alison Perencevich (Concord, N.H.), while head coach Missy Foote was named the conference's Coach of the Year. The five will lead the Panthers this weekend as they host an NCAA Regional on Kohn Field.

O'Donohoe earns first-team honors for the third straight year after being named the NESCAC Rookie of the Year in '01. The two-time All-American leads the Panthers in scoring this season with 53 goals and 16 assists for 69 points.

Renehan earns her first post-season award as a first-team selection in the midfield. The sophomore is second on the team with 29 goals and 47 points to go along with her 18 assists on the season.

Joining her on the first team is defender Becca Brakeley. The captain leads a Middlebury defense that has allowed just 5.33 goals/game this season.

Perencevich earned second-team honors as a midfielder. Despite missing the last few games with an injury, the sophomore has a dozen goals and four assists for 16 points on the season.

Foote earned coach of the year honors for the fourth straight season. The five-time National Coach of the Year has a career record of 267-65-1 in her 23rd season.
