Women's Lacrosse Tops Tufts

4/8/04 - Middlebury scored the game's first six goals on its way to a 14-5 win over Tufts in a NESCAC contest on Kohn Field. The Panthers are the top-ranked team in the latest Division III National poll.

Nuala O'Donohoe scored three of the team's six goals during the 6-0 run in the game's first 14:40. Willow Hagge answered for Tufts at 13:37 before four different players scored for Middlebury to give them a 10-1 lead at the break. The Jumbos scored the first goal of the second half, but the Panthers  answered with three and went on to earn a comfortable 14-5 win.

O'Donohoe led the team with five goals, while Alison Perencevich, Elizabeth Renehan and Claire Edelen added two goals apiece. Hagge and Meredith Harris pace Tufts with two goals apiece.

Sarah Grenert and Johanna Rosenfield combined to make eight saves in goal for Middlebury, while Sarah Lipson made 11 saves for Tufts.
