Women's Lacrosse Remains Undefeated

3/30/04 - Top-ranked Middlebury closed the game on a 5-0 run as they pulled away for a 14-5 win over Union on Kohn Field.

The team's exchanged the game's first four goals before a 5-0 Middlebury run gave them a 7-2 lead with 10:39 left in the first half. Nuala O'Donohoe had a pair of goals to spark the run. Union cut the lead to 7-3 before the break before Julia Davis made it a 7-4 game early in the second half. The Panthers answered with a pair of free position goals before Stephanie Cronan scored Union's final goal of the game at the 16:29 mark. Schuyler Winstead scored a pair for Middlebury down the stretch to seal the win.

O'Donohoe paced the Panthers with three goals, while Michele Bergofsky, Channing Weymouth, Claire Edelen and Winstead added two apiece. Sarah Grenert made 10 saves in goal for the Panthers, while Corey Bralower made 11 stops for Union.
