Middlebury Blanks Skidmore

4/20/05 - The Middlebury College women's lacrosse team turned in an amazing defensive performance as they earned a 17-0 shutout at Skidmore. The shutout was the first for the Panthers since a 19-0 win over Trinity in 2000. 

Middlebury scored six goals in the game's first nine minutes to take the lead. The Panthers never looked back as they pulled away for the win in the driving rain.

Schuyler Winstead led the team with four goals, Elizabeth Renehan scored three, while Alison Perencevich, Channing Weymouth, Claire Edelen and Liza Humes scored two goals apiece. Perencevich and Michele Bergofsky had three assists each. Johanna Rosenfield made seven saves in goal for the win.
