Women's Lacrosse Thumps Tufts

Middlebury jumped out to a 5-0 lead and never looked back as the second-ranked Panthers handed #11 Tufts a 19-6 loss on Kohn Field. Middlebury moves to 7-1 on the season, while Tufts drops its second straight and drops to 6-2.
Alison Perencevich scored a pair during the opening five-goal run before Maya Shoham answered for Tufts at the 23:46 mark. The Panthers then rank off three straight to take an 8-1 lead before the Jumbos made it an 8-2 game at 11:45. Middlebury closed the first half with a four-goal run, two from Elizabeth Renehan, to take a 12-2 lead at the break.
The second half was never in doubt as Middlebury held a lead of 10 or more goals for the entire half. Renehan ended the game with four goals, while Katherine Entwisle scored three. Perencevich, Channing Weymouth, Claire, Edelen and Mimi Schatz each added two goals. Dena Miller paced the Jumbos with a pair of goals.
