June 2, 2008

Two members of the Middlebury College women's lacrosse team have been named to the IWLCA (Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Association) All-American teams. Senior Reid Berrien (Westport, Conn.) was named to the second-team, while senior Katherine Entwisle (Lower Gwynedd, Pa.) was a third-team selection. The duo helped lead the Panthers to a 12-5 season with a trip to the NCAA Regional Final.

Berrien was a second-team choice after earning a spot on the All-Regional first-team for the second straight season. She was previously named a first-team All-NESCAC selection. The senior led the team in three major statistical categories this season, owning 41 ground balls, 35 draw controls and 37 caused turnovers. She also scored 17 goals in '08 and ends her career with 29 goals and 37 points over four years.

Entwisle earns a spot on the third-team after being named to the All-Region and All-NESCAC teams this spring for the Panthers. The senior led Middlebury with 49 goals in 17 games this season, placing her third in the NESCAC with 2.88 goals/game. Entwisle was second on the squad with 56 points this season, recording her 100th career goal earlier in the season, while scoring in all but one game in '08. She ends her career with 108 goals and 21 assists for 129 points.
