Ryan & Nguyen Earn NESCAC Honors

Middlebury College women’s lacrosse players Sally Ryan (Mountain Lakes, N.J.) and Lily Nguyen (Oakland, Calif.) have both earned first-team All-NESCAC honors. The seniors helped lead the Panthers to their 17th NCAA Tournament appearance in the last 18 years with a record of 10-5.

Ryan leads the team and NESCAC in goals this season with 54 (3.6 gpg). Her team-high 67 points place her third in the league (4.47 ppg), while she also owns 13 assists. She paces the team in ground balls with 36, draw controls (35), while leading the NESCAC with 2.2 caused turnovers and 7.1 shots/game. She has scored in all but one game this season, scoring four or more goals seven times. Ryan now has 142 goals and 58 assists for 200 career points in 63 games.

Nguyen is 9-4 with a 9.27 GAA and a .513 save percentage in goal for the Panthers. She has played 868 of 912 minutes in goal this season, making 141 saves. She has made 10+ saves seven times this season, including 18 in an April 2nd setback at Colby. She owns a career GAA of 9.28, with a 17-11 record and a .520 save percentage.
