Women's Soccer Players Earn NESCAC Honors
November 8, 2007
Three members of the Middlebury College women's soccer team have earned All-NESCAC honors. Sophomore Anjuli Demers (Dracut, Mass.) was a first-team selection, while senior Elise Tarbi (Stow, Mass.) and sophomore Lindsay Walker (Ridgewood, N.J.) earned second-team honors. The three helped lead the Panthers to a 9-5-2 record this season and a trip to the NESCAC semifinals.
Demers and Tarbi anchored the Middlebury defense this season, both starting all 16 games in '07. The Panthers allowed just a mere 1.14 goals/game this season, while boasting eight shutouts in 16 games. Tarbi was also recently named a District I Academic All-American.
Walker was steady up front for the Panthers this season, earning three goals and three assists for nine points. She netted both goals earlier this season in a 2-0 win over Colby and now has 23 points in 32 career games.
