Demers & Rotherham Earn N.E. Honors

Two members of the Middlebury College women's soccer team were honored when the NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America) named its All-New England teams. Junior Anjuli Demers (Dracut, Mass.) earned third-team honors, while senior Lindsay Rotherham (Bozeman, Mont.) earned a spot on the fourth-team. The duo helped lead the Panthers to an 8-6-2 record, including a 5-2 mark in their final seven games with a trip to the NESCAC semifinals.

A two-time first-team All-NESCAC selection, Demers had another impressive season on the Middlebury defense. She help lead a squad that allowed .73 goals/game in '08, including seven shutouts. Demers has played in 47 games through three seasons at Middlebury.

After earning second-team All-NESCAC honors, Rotherham earns a spot on the All-New England team. The Middlebury senior scored a goal this season in the team's 3-1 win over Tufts, while also adding three helpers in '08. She finishes her four-year career with 47 games played, including a goal and six assists for eight points.
