Middlebury College women's soccer player Anjuli Demers (Dracut, Mass.) has been named District I Third-Team Academic All-American by CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors Association). She and her team currently have a 14-3-2 record as they prepare to enter this weekend's NCAA Sectional at Johns Hopkins.

Demers is a three-time All-NESCAC selection for the Panthers as a defender. She helped anchor a Panther defense this season that has earned 11 shutouts, allowing a mere .76 goals/game. The tri-captain netted her first career goal earlier this season in a win over Johnson & Wales. The senior has played in 64 career games at Middlebury, owning a 3.66 GPA with a sociology/anthropology and psychology major.
