Panthers Earn All-NESCAC Honors

Two members of the Middlebury College women's soccer team earned All-NESCAC honors when the league announced its post-season team. Seniors Nora Tomlinson-Weintraub (Burlingame, Calif.) and Drew Smith (Silver Springs, Md.) both were named to the second team. The pair helped lead the Panthers to an 8-5-3 mark in '10, advancing to the NESCAC semifinals.
Tomlinson-Weintraub had a solid senior year after missing all of '09 with an injury. She ended the year tied for second on the team with three goals and eight points this season. The senior scored the game's lone goal in a 1-0 win at Rensselaer on September 15th, while scoring the first goal in a 2-1 win over Bowdoin. She ends her career with 20 goals and 11 assists for 51 points in 53 games.
Smith was a force in the midfield this season, playing in all 16 games. She ended the year with one goal and four assists for six points, placing her fourth on the team. Smith's goal came in a 2-0 win at home over Bates on October 23rd. She ends her career with 63 games played, scoring the aforementioned goal with eight assists.
