The Panther women’s squash team opened up its season with a 5-4 road loss at Hamilton. Middlebury entered the match ranked 12th nationally, while the Continentals held down the 20th spot. Slots 3-5 saw Middlebury win in three games, while Hamilton did the same at 7-9. The other contests went five games, with Middlebury’s Abby Jenkins picking up a 3-2 win at #1 singles.
The squash center officially opened on Saturday, October 26th on homecoming weekend. At the opening reception, President Liebowitz said the spectacular, nine-court facility – and the new Field House under construction – are the first buildings in the history of the College to be fully funded by donors.
Middlebury's new squash facility is coming along nicely as the summer comes to an end. The building is expected to open in mid-October, with nine new squash courts as well as an impressive full glass front lobby. Check out the photo gallery below for some recent photos.
