Women's Tennis Headed To NCAA Quarters

5/8/05 - For the first time in school history, the <?xml:namespace prefix = "st1" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Middlebury College women's tennis team has advanced to the NCAA Quarterfinals. The Panthers earned the right after a convincing 5-0 win over Williams in an NCAA Regional Final in Middlebury. The Panthers will take part in the championship tournament on May 18-20th at Kalamazoo College in Michigan.<?xml:namespace prefix = "o" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Middlebury came out strong as they earned three points with wins in all three doubles contests. Amy Berkman gave the Panthers a 3-0 lead with a 6-1-, 6-1 win, while Amy Roche sealed the match with a 6-0, 6-0 victory.
