Describe your initial reaction upon seeing the campus and athletic facilities for the first time.

I saw Middlebury for the first time when I was playing a soccer tournament here in middle school. I immediately fell in love with the campus, it had everything that I enjoy most about living in Vermont- a view of the mountains, beautiful buildings, and tons of open space.

What is the one thing that makes Middlebury College a special place for you?

The people here have really made Middlebury a special place for me. Being surrounded by students and professors with such diverse interests and experiences has taught me so much.

What is your best memory as a player at Middlebury College?

My best memory is from my freshman year when we hosted an NCAA regional. The regional final was so exciting because we played against Williams, one of our biggest rivals, and won 5-0 to make it to nationals for the first time in the team's history. Even though each person is out on the court alone, on that day I felt like the whole team was on every court and fighting for every point together.

What have you learned from your sport that you will use in your everyday life?

Tennis has taught me the values of patience, hard work, and persistence. Being on a team has also shown me how much one person's energy can affect those around her.
