Women's Tennis With NESCAC Honors - Aiello Is Rookie Of The Year

Three members of the Middlebury College women's tennis team earned post-season honors, as Victoria Aiello (Milton, Mass.) was named the NESCAC Rookie of the Year. Aiello also earned first-team All-Conference honors, while senior Chandra Kurien (Fairfield, Conn.) and senior Elizabeth Stone (Cohasset, Mass.) earned second team honors in singles and doubles. The threesome are preparing for this weekend's NCAA Regional hosted by Williams.

Aiello had an impressive rookie season for the Panthers, playing at #1 singles for the entire spring. The first-team all-league selection earned NESCAC Rookie of the Year honors, owning a 12-7 record. She is currently ranked seventh among all players in the Northeast Region.

Kurien earned second-team honors in singles play for the Panthers this spring. She is ranked 11th in the Northeast, sporting a record of 17-6 in singles play. Stone also earned a spot on the second-team, playing at #3 singles for most of the spring with a 13-5 mark.

In doubles play, Kurien and Stone were named to the second team. The duo have a 7-9 record and are ranked fifth in the Northeast.
