May 25, 2012

Middlebury College rookie Lok-Sze Leung has advanced to the title match at the 2012 NCAA Division III women’s tennis singles championship at Cary Tennis Park in Cary, N.C. She will take on Gabbie Clark of Emory  on Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. in the championship match. The two met back on April 13th with Leung picking up a 6-2, 6-3 win.

Leung advanced to the championship with two more singles wins on Friday. The day began with a familiar opponent, as Leung faced Kristin Alotta of Williams. The Panther rookie had little trouble, cruising to a 6-0, 6-1 victory. She advanced to face Mackenzie Knoop of Trinity (TX), picking up a 6-1, 6-4 victory in her semifinal contest.

Leung will be looking for her second national title on Saturday, after winning this fall’s ITA National singles title.
