Leung Falls In ITA Final

October 13, 2012

Middlebury's Lok-Sze Leung came up one match shy of repeating as the Division III ITA singles champion. The Panther sophomore fell to Gabrielle Clark of Emory in the finals on Saturday, 5-7, 6-3, 6-4. The match took place at the USTA/ITA National Small College Championships at the Copeland-Cox Tennis Center in Mobile, Alabama.

The rivalry between Leung and Clark is now at two wins apiece. A year ago, Leung topped Clark in the ITA singles championship match, while also defeating her at a home match in May. Clark returned the favor in the NCAA Championship match later in May.
