Women's Tennis Headed To NCAA's

The Middlebury College women's tennis team will make its 10th  trip to the NCAA Tournament in the last 11 years when they travel to Bowdoin for an NCAA Regional from May 10-12. Middlebury will take on the winner of the MIT/Simmons match on Saturday, May 11th at 2:30 p.m., while Bowdoin meets the Bridgewater/Endicott winner at 11:00 a.m. The winners meet in the regional final on Sunday at noon.

Middlebury enters the weekend with a record of 11-10 in NCAA Tournament play and a record of 11-6 in ’12-’13. The Panthers advanced to the semifinals in ’05 and the quarterfinals in ’07 and are currently ranked sixth in the latest ITA National poll. Middlebury has played an extremely tough schedule this season, with 10 top-10 opponents, six of them ranked in the top five. Two of the team’s losses came to top-ranked Amherst, including a 5-4 loss in the NESCAC semifinals a week ago.

BSU/Endicott vs. Bowdoin - 11:00 a.m.
MIT/Simmons vs. Middlebury - 2:30 p.m.

Regional Finals - Sunday, May 12
