Dawson enters his third season as the team's assistant coach. A 2004 graduate (bachelor's degree in history), he returns to Middlebury after a two-year hiatus when he worked in New York for Morgan Stanley.

The New Canaan, Connecticut native came to Middlebury after spending three years at New Canaan High School and one season at Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, Conn. Dawson played four years for the Panthers, four under Head Coach Bill Beaney and one under interim and current Skidmore head coach Neil Sinclair.

During his four years, the team won the NESCAC Championship three times, earned four NCAA tournament berths, including three final four appearances. He served as assistant captain in 2003, leading the team to its second straight NCAA Final Four showing, only to fall in the semi-finals. He helped the team capture its second straight NESCAC title in 2001 with an overtime goal at Chip Kenyon Arena against Amhert in the championship game. His crowning achievement was captaining the ‘04 team to their first NCAA Championship in four years and the programs sixth overall.
