Mathews joined the Sports Medicine staff in the fall of ’06.
She comes to Middlebury from Utah State University in Logan, Utah, where she spent the least three years as a graduate assistant. She served as the head trainer for the women’s gymnastics team this past winter, while serving as head trainer for the cross country/track & field teams in the past. Mathews has worked with several other squads while at Utah State, including the football team. In her three years at Utah State, Mathews has worked at several summer camps, while also working as a physical therapy assistant at the campus health and wellness center.
Mathews is an ’03 graduate of Troy University in Troy, Alabama, where she earned her degree in athletic training. She recently obtained her master’s degree in exercise science from Utah State.
