Congratulations to Bread Loafers Amina Gautier and Joan Silber for winning
the 2018 PEN/Faulkner Foundation Awards and to finalists Hernán Diaz and
Samantha Hunt!
Amina Gautier won the 2018 PEN/Malamud Award for Excellence in the
Short Story and Joan Silber won the PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction for
her novel Improvement. Hernán Diaz (In The Distance) and Samantha
Hunt (The Dark Dark) were included on the 2018 finalist list for the
PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction.

winning the 2019 National Book Award in Poetry for his book
