Student Leadership Awards Information
Spring 2009
The Center for Campus Activities and Leadership (CCAL) would like to announce opening of the nomination process for the 10th Annual Student Leadership Awards. These awards recognize outstanding student leaders on campus as individuals, through student groups and in the Commons. Student leaders play a vital role on campus - defining campus culture, providing co-curricular experiences, bringing to campus a wide array of programs and services focused on student interests, and acting as mentors and role models to one another. Through this event we would like to recognize those students who have gone above and beyond their positional responsibilities to positively impact Middlebury College and the surrounding community.
Please read the descriptions and criteria for each award that accompany this letter and consider nominating a student or student group, you believe should receive this institutional honor. Self-nominations are also welcome. Each award has a specific application process that must be completed and submitted by Friday, April 25, 2009.
Whether you are nominating an individual or a group, we ask that you provide some background information on the organization or individual in addition to your nomination. This information is incorporated into both the evaluation process and the award presentation. I can certainly assist you in identifying a group contact, if you are unfamiliar with the organization members.
All finalists will receive an invitation to the annual Leadership Recognition Reception at the McCullough Student Center. The award recipients will be announced at this event.
